The Challenge

Scoot Airline is one of the busiest air carriers of Singapore and is responsible for the safe transport of hundreds of passengers every day. During the challenging times of the pandemic, air travel had to be adapted and transformed to ensure maximum safety of the passengers and no further transmission of the virus. Therefore, the top management put the right COVID testing protocols in place but they were turning out to be time-consuming and often, ambiguous.

The Scoot Airline team was looking to develop a testing application for mobile and web to streamline and ease COVID-19 testing procedures for airline travelers and enable digital transformation.


After reviewing their requirements, our Ranosys team suggested the leading low-code platform, OutSystems, as the foundation of Scoot Airlines’ COVID testing application for mobile and web. Our certified experts developed a powerful enterprise low-code application to facilitate the easy testing of COVID-19 before flight onboarding. Moreover, we also integrated with other competitive external integrations such as Azure AD and AWS S3 Bucket.
