Responsibilities
Business Process & Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders across operations, finance, procurement, and supply chain
- Lead requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis workshops
- Translate business requirements into functional design documents, configuration specifications, and solution recommendations
- Guide clients through best-practice NetSuite workflows and challenge legacy processes where improvements can be made
Supply Chain & Manufacturing
- Configure and optimize NetSuite Demand Planning and MRP modules, including forecasting methods (moving average, regression, seasonal trends), safety stock, reorder points, EOQ, MOQ, and lead times
- Facilitate and support S&OP cycles — demand review, supply review, and executive planning meetings — using NetSuite as the system of record
- Work with operations teams to set up multi-level BOMs, item master governance, lot/serial number tracking, shelf-life rules, and engineering change management processes
- Support production planning workflows including work order generation, routing, scheduling, and backflushing
- Run what-if scenario simulations (e.g. supplier delays, demand spikes) and help business users interpret outputs
Billing, Finance & Tax
- Configure SuiteBilling workflows and advise on billing model design (subscription, milestone, usage-based)
- Support end-to-end invoice management processes and advise on where invoicing should be handled across systems (NetSuite vs. Stripe)
- Guide the business through tax compliance processes, including configuring Avalara within NetSuite and setting up tax-exempt workflows
- Ensure financial controls and audit requirements are built into configuration, not bolted on after
Integrations (Functional Ownership)
- Serve as the functional owner of integrations between NetSuite and connected systems including Salesforce, Stripe, and Avalara — defining what data needs to flow, when, and why
- Advise on integration strategy: when to use real-time vs. nightly batch, and the business trade-offs of each
- Define reconciliation and exception-handling processes to ensure data integrity across systems
- Collaborate with technical teams or integration partners to ensure functional requirements are correctly implemented and tested
Implementation & Change Management
- Lead or co-lead full end-to-end NetSuite implementations — from solution design through configuration, UAT, training, and go-live
- Develop test scripts, lead UAT sessions, and work with business users to validate that configured solutions meet requirements
- Produce user-facing documentation, training materials, and process guides
- Support post-go-live hypercare and continuous improvement initiatives.
Desired Skills & Competencies
- 5+ years of NetSuite functional consulting experience, ideally in a client-facing or internal advisory capacity
- Deep functional knowledge of NetSuite MRP, Demand Planning, and Manufacturing modules
- Strong understanding of S&OP processes and how to operationalize them within NetSuite
- Hands-on experience with SuiteBilling and invoice management workflows
- Working knowledge of Avalara for tax management, including tax-exempt processes
- Functional experience with NetSuite–Salesforce integration, particularly around syncing sales forecasts and asset records
- Familiarity with NetSuite–Stripe billing and customer data flows
- Ability to lead process workshops, write functional specs, and communicate clearly with both business and technical audiences
- Experience managing data migration of BOMs, open POs, on-hand inventory, and planning parameters.
