Delifrance is a French cafe chain known for its bakery, savory, and snacking products in over countries on five continents. Since 1983, Delifrance has been building a strong rapport for its French style bakery products like croissants, gâteaux, fougasses, pains au chocolat, brioches, crisp praline, and baguettes. The brand has over 30 years of presence in Singapore & it serves as an epitome of French pastries for the Singapore audience. There are 18 café-bakery outlets in Singapore and each has retained the Parisian charm of delectable French bakeries serving authentic French bakeries.

Along with its sister company, Grands Moulins de Paris, Delifrance is a part of the French cooperative group, Vivescia, the 2nd biggest European grain cooperative group. Delifrance still employs its artisan baking techniques to deliver the exact standards of taste and quality and delight its customers.

THE CHALLENGE

Delifrance has a decorated name in the region and as its customer base expanded and grew, the brand wanted to migrate to the Shopify Plus enterprise commerce platform to leverage its high-scale features and capabilities and offer personalized experiences to its customers. Delifrance wanted a flexible, scalable, and fast to launch eCommerce platform that could assist their ever-evolving customer needs and help deliver better shopping experiences. Their operations team wanted to build an intuitive and user-friendly admin interface that can seamlessly integrate with competitive third-party systems and applications and boost overall brand-customer interaction and loyalty. 

THE GOAL

Delifrance wanted to migrate from Shopify to Shopify Plus enterprise commerce solution and build an omnichannel system that supports customer journeys across the growing touchpoints. The team wanted to improve the current UI/UX look and feel of their eCommerce site and replace it with a custom design template, relevant with the brand’s theme of being a prominent F&B industry. Delifrance also wanted to implement modern capabilities of BOPIS (buy online pickup in store) on their eCommerce platform and integrate it with popular payment gateways in the region for an easy checkout experience. Therefore, they wanted to migrate to the Magento 2 platform, leverage all its key features and capabilities, and develop a competitive B2B eCommerce experience that bridged the gap between offline and online purchasing of its products for its customers.

The Results

Our team migrated their data from the old eCommerce platform to the Shopify Plus enterprise eCommerce solution. Our developers created a custom theme-based design relevant with the physical presence of Delifrance and that of the F&B industry. As Delifrance wanted to integrate this eCommerce platform with local payment solutions, our team implemented a seamless integration with Adyen. Moreover, we also developed RFQ forms for corporate buyers who visited the store.
