Senior Software Engineer - SFCC Backend

Responsibilities

• SFCC subject matter expert beyond the basic certification, but to include significant project experience and share knowledge with the team and mentor and grow newer, less experienced developers on the team.
• Follow best practices and develop reusable code.
• Work with SFCC and partners for any site changes.
• Able to perform peer-review of the code and participate in architecture planning and implementation.
• Understand requirements well and contribute effectively during project discussions or meetings.
• Perform unit testing of business logic and behaviour to confirm proper implementation and quality execution.
• Participate in daily stand-ups with client as well as project team.
• Work with Project Leadership teams to develop the overall design and implementation plan. Serves as the technical leader, installation, customization and integration efforts of ecommerce technical solutions to guarantee the intent of the architecture to maintain a high level of quality and performance.
• Perform analysis of ecommerce tools, 3rd party platform integration, and environment infrastructure
• Define common business and development processes, platform and tools usage for ecommerce solutions and delivery, Create technical documentation.
• Be proactive towards solution of problems at hand and able to work independently towards root cause analysis of the problems.
• Work with deadlines and ensure delivery with complete ownership.
• Should be comfortable working in a high energy environment and be eager to solve tough challenges.

Desired Skills & Competencies

• SFCC Certified Developer.
• Strong technical experience in production with SFCC.
• Working knowledge of version control system and cloud platforms (Git, GitHub, BitBucket, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with teammates and clients
• Extensive knowledge in SFCC Business Manager configuration
• Extensive experience in SFCC Script and template development
• Good knowledge of Web Services, JSON, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, CSS, jQuery, UI frameworks for implementation of SFCC solutions
• Excellent troubleshooting skills within the SFCC environment.
• Interact with clients to create end-to-end specifications for ecommerce solutions and articulate business need in terms of SFCC Business Manager Configuration
• Should create high quality technical architecture and design that includes appropriate level of detail and consider scalability and performance of the system.
• Should have knowledge of third party integration like Payment Processing/Tax Solutions/Product Rec’s & Ratings/Product Feeds

Other Skills and Experience:

• 4 years of real-world eCommerce experience with at least 2 years handson with SFCC.
• Must understand eCommerce architecture, product, order and inventory flows in order to create detailed designs, architectural documents, and develop complex applications.
• Be able to support the full code review and release management for SFCC.
• Strong in communicating with multiple stakeholders with clarity and communication objectives and style.
• Excellent problem solving capabilities and analytical skills.
• Result-oriented, reliable, able to work under pressure.
