Software Engineer - PHP

Responsibilities

• Understanding business requirements & developing solutions rather than just coding for specific feature(s). 

• Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules.

• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.

• Writing clean, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way. Using coding standards and best practices to ensure quality.

• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.

• Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary.

• Coordinate with co-developers and keeps supervisor well informed of the status of development effort

Desired Skills & Competencies

• Proven software development experience in PHP.

• Good knowledge of PHP frameworks (CodeIgniter/ CakePHP/ YII/ Laravel). Knowledge of Laravel is an added advantage. 

• Excellent communication skills. Ability to be a self-starter, prioritize your work, stay organized, and work well in a team.

• Understand the following concept practically - OOPS, MVC.

• Hands-on experience with GIT version control tool. Should understand various branching strategies, merge conflicts etc.

• Extensive knowledge of relational databases (MySQL) including complex SQL queries.

• Hands-on experience in Backend and REST-based API Development.

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
