The client wanted to get a web-based app designed and developed, to allow the users to register the visit records for patients, check patient eligibility for a particular program, submit visit records along with the claims, submit the pre-admission forms, make fee revision appeals, view payment advice, and check status of claims or appeals.
While working on this project, developers faced the following challenges:
At an early stage, requirements were quite dispersed as the client was also not clear with respect to the flow of the system; he required. The initial URS was very lengthy and not structured, but with the help of our onsite and offshore Project Managers, this challenge was resolved. We created flow diagrams for the entire workflow on the basis of two different program types, to make the team understand the flow easily. We also maintained all the call summaries, files and flow diagrams under Confluence, a project management tool.
Creating a VPN to access the client's existing database was quite complex. The back-end team created hundreds of APIs and data tables to overcome this challenge.
